Headed back for our 5th trip!

Only 10 more days until we leave on Friday, July 15. We are busy gathering supplies and making plans for activities, games and projects.

Susan Harvin will be doing an “Extreme Makeover” for the three rooms that house the older girls at the orphanage in Lom. All of the materials she is using will fit into one suitcase! This project promises to be nothing short of miraculous! The girls are excited about redecorating their space! Pray for patience for Susan and the girls as they take on this makeover project.

Nicky and Jennifer are sorting through supplies and checking off lists to make sure everything gets packed. Mary Poppins with her bottomless magical bag would make a great mission team member! It is always complicated to attempt to pack our many craft supplies and game equipment. Pray that the airlines and customs agents will not reject our supply suitcases!

Katherine and Bree are helping pack and plan as we get ready to go. This is Bree Haggard’s first trip to Lom, Bulgaria. With her smile and her love for kids, we are certain she will fit right in! Katherine is making her second trip this year so she is eager to see her friends at the orphanage. She has packed special gifts for two or three little girls who are special to her. Pray for lots of energy for these two as they will need it every day!

The men have been discussing their projects. Wayne, David and Joe will tackle several repair jobs. They are planning to replace floors, install wardrobe cabinets and do some other work needed at the group home and the orphanage in Lom. They are hoping to find their building supplies waiting for them when we arrive. Pray for the men as they tackle difficult jobs without the tools and supplies they are accustomed to having here.

We are grateful for the many people who have donated supplies and money for our Bulgarian mission projects! God has been so good to us each year! We are very blessed!
